Swing Check (Non-Return) Valves
Johnson Valves offer swing type check valves, these valves are often called flap or flapper type valves. They generally offer good flow characteristics and usually require installation in the horizontal or vertical position with the flow going upwards.
Ball & Lift Check (Non-Return) Valves
Johnson Valves offer ball and lift type check valves. Ball check valves generally offer good flow characteristics and low headloss. They are usually required to be installed in the horizontal position.

SH – Spirax Hills Bronze Sight Glass & Check Valve
Manufactured by Spirax Sarco, the SH sight check is a sight glass and check valve combination in one unit. A ball in the top of the flow tube is lifted off its seat by the fluid as it flows through the cylindrical window to the outlet connection. The ball movement makes the flow easy to see yet provides shut-off on reverse flow.
