Vacuum Breakers
Vacuum breakers are used on steam systems and heat exchangers. When these are turned off they still contain a certain amount of steam. The steam condenses as the vessel cools down and since condensate occupies a much smaller volume than steam, vacuum conditions are generated.
VB14 / VB21 – Brass / Stainless Steel Spirax Vacuum Breaker
Manufactured by Spirax Sarco, the VB14 and VB21 vacuum breakers are used on steam systems and heat exchangers. When these are turned off they still contain a certain amount of steam.
